Are interactions between substance use and place associated with sexual risk? An analysis of new partner encounters in a sample of MSM in England

Drawing on data from the Sigma Panel online study of MSM (2011-2012) these analyses suggest either that substance use equalises’ risk between venues where MSM have sex, or that substance use is associated with a much higher risk of unprotected anal intercourse (UAI) in sex-on-premises-venues where UAI would otherwise be rare.
